| The emergency phone does not activate |

Check the phone line voltage. It should be between 24-48 VDC |

Check the button connector on the circuit board |

 |
Make sure the phone number is programmed and is in location number one. |

Make sure there is a dial tone and voltage on the phone line (active line) |

| Calling party cannot hear called party during call |
 |
Check the speaker connection on the circuit board |

Raise the volume according to the programming instructions |
 |
Verify shielded phone line and shield grounding on one end only |
 |
Try placing a call with any noisy equipment off (ie fan) |

| Called party cannot hear calling party during call |

Check the microphone connection on the circuit board |

| Call hangs up after one ring on a ringdown line |
