Troubleshooting - K-Weigh LW4200 Series

Cannot calibrate unit, voltage at T5 is +/- 11 volts
Check all connections and ensure that sensor plug is in proper jack, not plugged into set point connector

LW+/LW- reads low after calibration
Make sure that the reset button has not been pressed with weight in the car.

Red Re-Calibrate Light is lit or flashing.
The unit has exceeded its range of auto calibration. Bring the car to the lowest landing and readjust the Empty Car setting – weights are not needed.

Can only mount one sensor of a two sensor system.
With the mounted sensor plugged into channel A, move the jumper under T5/T6 from 2 to 1.

Troubleshooting - K-Weigh LW5200 Series

Before calling K-Tech, please confirm that power is verified and properly hooked up and that all sensors have been connected.

No room to mount sensors on top of the crosshead.
Sensors can be mounted on the underside of the crosshead. The unit will calculate the inverted bending movement.

Cannot get course setting to 0 volts.
Acceptable settings are from -0.02 to 0.02 volts. Check sensor mounting.

Program does not move to the next task.
Wait for the unit to finish the current task.

Unit gives error message after full load calibration.
Relocate the sensor to an area of greater deflection.

Cannot mount second sensor (dual sensor models only)
Turn second sensor off using flow chart provided on page 7 of manual.
